“All Eyes: Empathy Series” by Malado Francine

Triangle is excited to announce our second Governors Island residency exhibition of the season. Artist-in-residence Malado Francine presents “All Eyes: Empathy Series,” on view every Saturday and Sunday, 11 am - 5 pm, through the month of June.

Malado Francine is an LA-based artist who works in multiple media: painting, film, and sculpture. This series references the spark or the meeting point between the ancient and the future— an attempt to generate a feeling of “deep time,” to use painter Bill Jensen’s term. Generative landscapes are marked with potential internal other worlds, while fragments of ancient artifacts are re-considered in vibrant color, radiating depth with light, and revealing multiple views upon closer inspection. Recurring themes include empathy, human connection, the future of artificial intelligence, and watching and being watched in a digital age.

All guests will be required to wear masks inside the house. If you have any questions please contact mail@triangleartsnyc.org.
