Some things are impossible to look at without an intermediary because of their sublime qualities. They are too expansive, too terrible. They diminish us and our existence. The memorialization of societal and environmental atrocities help us reconcile our inability to fully understand. “Dead is Dead" is a stock of paintings and drawings of these things we can not look at directly.

Eric Ramos Guerrero is a multidisciplinary artist based in New York City whose work investigates ideas of the West through landscapes of suburban California, the US/Mexican border and the tropical spaces of migratory expansion.Ramos Guerrero exhibits work internationally, including The Drawing Center NY, El Museo De Barrio NY, The Knockdown Center NY, Beaux Arts FR, Museum of Contemporary Art Vojvodina, White Box NY, ICPNY, Inside-Out Museum Beijing, Mathilde Hatzenberger Gallery Belgium, and Green Papaya Philippines. Eric has been an artist in residence at The Drawing Center, Marble House Project, Triangle Arts Organization and IEA Alfred University.
