Remote Viewer engages the “psychic spying” units run by the U.S. government between the 1970s and 1990s. These units tasked people with supposedly exceptional psionic abilities to mentally travel to covert enemy sites, then record what they “viewed” in writing, drawing, and even clay sculpture.

Coburn and Hatcher see a parallel between remote viewing and the “black boxes” of contemporary surveillance and data capture. By considering the structural opacity of remote viewing, could we better understand how obfuscation and mystification have come to render the current mechanisms of power unintelligible to the average user?

This November at Triangle, Coburn and Hatcher will lead six hourlong training workshops for small groups, providing instruction in the technique of remote viewing. Workshops will be held on the following dates:

Sunday, November 4th at 5pm

Wednesday, November 7th at 7pm

Friday, November 9th at 7pm

Saturday, November 10th at 5pm

Tuesday, November 13th at 7pm

Wednesday, November 14th at 7pm

To sign up, email tyler.coburn@gmail.com with your preferred dates. Please note that, due to limited capacity, spots will be awarded by lottery.
